Head of Marketing

Role Summary

We are looking for a proactive and ambitious Head of Marketing to join our rapidly growing team. Having been a company of 6 people at the start of 2018, we finished 2019 as a team of 21 and are growing fast. You will own responsibility for demand generation of both new customers (SMEs) and partners (Accountants & Bookkeepers). You will also own responsibility for our brand and long run marketing strategy.

This role offers an unrivalled opportunity to place your stamp on how this company and team runs; to truly transform us as a business. You will report into our Commercial Director in respect of demand generation and work closely with David, our CEO in respect of brand and long-run marketing strategy. You will be based in our London head office, currently located in London Bridge, opposite Borough Market. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading demand generation for our direct (SMEs) and partner (Accountants & Bookkeepers) channels
  • Deploying a data driven approach to different customer acquisition approaches, their respective conversion rates and CAC:LTV ratios
  • Working closely with the product team, sales and success to help improve the customer journey and NPS
  • Crafting strategies for the Marketing team to ensure we deliver on targets
  • Preparing and managing monthly, quarterly and annual budgets for the Marketing function
  • Managing and growing the Marketing team
  • Ensuring our brand message is strong and consistent across all channels and marketing efforts (like events, email campaigns, web pages and promotional material)
  • Analysing consumer behavior and determining customer personas with our Product team
  • Identifying opportunities to reach new market segments and expand market share

Skills and Experience

You will:
  • Have experience running successful demand generation campaigns
  • Have solid knowledge of web analytics, PPC and SEO
  • Have leadership skills with the ability to set and prioritise goals
  • Be target driven
  • Have experience of managing and developing a team
  • Be very customer centric
  • Have the ability to balance the brand vs performance requirements of our marketing strategy
