Hi, I’m Kier. Thanks for visiting.
First to quickly introduce myself. I’m the new Credit Control Consultant here at Chaser, amongst other things it’s my job to support our users by making sure they have the tools they need to be amazing at getting paid. Here’s a very quick bit about me:
I moved to London from East Anglia at the age of 18 like Dick Whittington to seek my fame and fortune, with nothing but music stardom in my eyes and a love for Tesco’s own brand lager in my heart. Things didn’t exactly turn out as I had planned, but i’m glad they didn’t. The challenge forced me to found my own record label, learn how to navigate the business and after a few years I went full time with my band Fearless Vampire Killers, eventually selling thousands of records and touring the world.
How does this relate to credit control?
Well it was actually my first job and for a long time funded my music. Over the last decade, either from home or on tour I’ve helped recycling companies pay their Christmas bonuses, my personal accountant halve their aged receivables and tech start-ups keep their bank balance in the black whilst waiting for financing. Having these experiences opened my eyes to the importance of having positive cash flow to small businesses; it really can change lives.
It’s for this reason that I bring you "Dear Kier". It’s my way of using what I’ve learned to help others, assisting in those small victories one at a time.
“Look for small victories and build on that. Each small victory, even if it is just getting up five minutes earlier, gives you confidence.” Arnold Schwarzenegger
So what is "Dear Kier"?
Think of me as your agony aunt. I’m dedicating time each week to assist in solving YOUR payment woes. Whether it be how to word an email or what your rights are as a business owner, whether it’s best to call or send a letter, there’s no longer any need to languish in the dark. You’ve got a friend in me.
I have a question, how do I submit?!
It’s as simple as sending me an email. Send your questions with “Dear Kier” in the subject to: email@example.com or tweet me @chaser_kier. All will receive a response and a selection will be published weekly on our blog.
What if I want to remain anonymous?
Simply add “ANON” to the subject line. All emails will be deleted after a response and will not be published on the blog without permission.
Thanks for reading, I look forward to hearing from you.
