Last week, Xerocon, the annual conference of Xero, took place in London. This was the first Xerocon since the pandemic hit in 2020, and it was certainly worth the wait!
Xerocon is unlike any other conference, and is by many called the "Glastonbury for accountants'. This two-day event took place at the Tobacco Dock in London on the 20th and 21st of July with over 2000 accountants and bookkeepers attending.
Over 50 global brands, including Chaser, exhibited at the event and there were several keynote speakers such as Deborah Meaden from Dragons Den and former football player Fara Williams. Xerocon is known for striking the perfect balance between party and work event, with endless networking opportunities, presentations, fun, games, and immersive experiences.
We have already started counting down the days until Xerocon New Orleans and Xerocon Sydney which takes place later this year, but in the meantime, here are some of the highlights from Xerocon London:
Chaser beach balls and eye masks
If you’ve met us at previous trade shows or events in the last couple of years you will have seen, and maybe even taken home one of our debtor daze pale ales. Unfortunately, we were not able to bring the debtor daze to Xerocon this year, but, it did not stop us from having some of the coolest swag there.
Taking into consideration that London had a heat record the day before Xerocon with 40 degrees, it was very fitting that we were giving out orange, Chaser branded beach balls. These were a huge success, and even though we had brought more than we initially thought we needed, we ran out by the end of the second day. It’s safe to say that we will need to bring these back for Xerocon London next year!
In addition to the orange beach balls, we were also handing out orange and navy coloured eye masks. After seeing the success these were at Accountex earlier this year, we had to bring these back, and we’re glad we did!
End-to-end receivables automation
The Chaser team was proud to showcase Chaser's most recent features such as in-app credit checking, payment portal and SMS payment reminders.
Meeting existing customers and other Xero app partners
This was the first Xerocon event since the pandemic hit in 2020, and it was great catching up with existing customers, other Xero app partners and helping accountants and bookkeepers realise that having an optimised credit control process doesn’t have to be hard nor time-consuming.

Xerocon party
As mentioned above, Xerocon is by many called the “Glastonbury for Accountants”, and with good reason. This year, the famous party took place in Old Billingsgate, a venue overlooking both the Tower Bridge and the Shard. Our team here at Chaser quickly realised why it’s gotten its name as the party had fire breathers, stilt walkers, trapeze artists, bands, several DJs and more than 20 different kinds of food stands. It felt like we were at a festival! Nonetheless, we had a wonderful time catching up with Chaser users and fellow Xero app partners in a more casual environment.
What's next?
After two wonderful days at Xerocon London, the Chaser team has already started counting down the days to the next in-person event, Xerocon New Orleans, which is taking place on the 24th and 25th of August.

Chaser will also be exhibiting at Xerocon Sydney (7-8 September) so if you’re in Australia, get your ticket and meet our team to learn more about Chaser and how we can help your business get paid faster, optimise your accounts receivable process and say good-bye to bad debt.
