It has been two months since we hosted our team onsite in London and we are all missing each other very much after all the fun we had.
Can I just say that being part of a fully remote team has its benefits but the week we spent together just proves how much we all enjoy working together in the same space and how well we do it!
Day 1
It was such a magnificent and super exciting experience to arrive at an office with most of our team there. Everyone was exactly how they are on the other side of the screen. Friendly, caring and funny 😄
We were all welcomed with an amazing breakfast spread from Humdingers Catering. They provide various types of catering to all events, from offices to weddings.
The highlight of the day was the team sports day all organised by GOTO events. They provided excellent customer service from the very first call until after the event. We did not have to worry about any details. They will do all the work for you and make sure that your team has a memorable day together. Trust me, if you want to get the whole team laughing, book them and make your CEO wear a sumo suit to run around the obstacles.

Day 2
Wednesday was definitely a memorable day, mainly because the whole team was sore and could not walk properly for the rest of the week. While half of the team were hosting panels, meeting potential clients and networking, the rest of us were working together at the office. Our day was spent mostly at the office but it was such a great experience to just be able to ask our colleagues anything we wanted and have fun while working together for the day. After our day together, we continued to build our relationships by bonding and trying to beat each other’s race time at Capital Go Karting in Canary Wharf.
Day 3
Wednesday was our last day at Accountex, half of us met at the office in the morning and then decided to join our colleagues at the trade show and make great connections with other companies, be present in the XU Magazine’s panel discussion where our CEO Sonia Dorais was asked to participate alongside AutoEntry, Castaway Forecasting, Xero and Reducer and help the marketing and sales team pack up our stand before heading to dinner.
We had a lovely team dinner at Nakon Thai in Royal Docks where we shared amazing Thai food, great conversations and laughter.
Day 4
Friday morning was a bit bittersweet, simply because we knew we were going to have an amazing day together but we also knew everyone was leaving at the end of the day.
We all met up at Graffik Gallery on Portobello Rd where we had a graffiti workshop hosted by an artist, who showed us different techniques and ways of creating cool effects when using spray paint. We had an introduction to graffiti, followed by the opportunity to create our own stencils and then we used all of the techniques learned and the colours we wanted to create beautiful masterpieces that we could take home with us. This was definitely a successful team activity and I highly recommend it if you are planning your team’s next event.
After the workshop, we explored Portobello Market together while making our way to a family owned Greek Restaurant nearby. A little gem hidden near Portobello market where we shared great comfort food and said our goodbyes before everyone made their ways to the train station, bus, or airport.

We are already planning our next onsite, which will be at a secret location, I will give you a little hint, (it will not be in London), and I can’t wait to share it with you and show you all of the activities we will be participating in. Stay tuned!
