Accountex 2023 | Highlights, photos, debtor daze and more

Accountex London 2023, the leading event for finance professionals, accountants, and bookkeepers, took place last week at the London ExCeL. Over 10,000 attendees came from all over Europe to network, gain insights, and explore cutting-edge solutions in the accounting and finance industry.

Chaser exhibited at the event alongside 250+ other global brands, and Accountex hosted 180 CPD-accredited talks and seminars that were designed to arm the attendees with all the knowledge and inspiration needed to succeed in the fast-changing world of accounting and finance.

The Chaser team had a brilliant time at the two-day event, and we have already started counting down the days until Accountex 2024. However, in the meantime, below are some of the main highlights from the event.

Photo booth

While Accountex is a great opportunity to network and meet new people, learn from industry experts, and find new solutions for your business, it's also a chance to have fun and make memories. That's why Chaser was thrilled to offer attendees an exciting and interactive photo booth at the stand, where they could capture their cherished Accountex moments.

The photo booth was fully equipped with props and signs, allowing attendees to create fun and unforgettable pictures. Whether they posed with colleagues or newfound contacts they had met at the conference, the photo booth captured their Accountex memory. Additionally, attendees could also get printed copies of their photos that they could take home with them or bring to the office, which we overheard some accountants would be doing.

Debtor Daze Pale Ale

If you've met Chaser at previous trade shows and events, you might have seen (and tasted) Chaser's popular Debtor Daze pale ale. This accounting-themed beverage, brewed by the esteemed London craft brewery Anspach & Hobday (who are also Chaser users), has become an integral part of Chaser's merchandise at events and trade shows. Attendees and other exhibitors made sure to stop by Chaser's stand to secure a can of the crafted beer for their journey home.

Kevin Lord's presentation

Another highlight of Accountex was Kevin Lord's, Head of Global Sales at Chaser, presentation. Kevin shared valuable insights on how Chaser's software helps businesses, particularly accountants and bookkeepers, improve their accounts receivable process, save time, get paid faster, and reduce bad debt. The presentation served as a catalyst for attendees to visit the Chaser stand afterwards, seeking further information and discovering the benefits of Chaser's solutions.

End-to-end accounts receivable solution

At Chaser's stand, attendees had the opportunity to meet Chaser's credit control experts, who demonstrated how Chaser's end-to-end accounts receivable automation software could help automate both their own and their clients' credit control processes. Chaser has recently introduced new features such as Payer Ratings, Days Sales Outstanding graph, and SMS payment reminders, and it was brilliant to see the accountants' and bookkeepers' excitement when they realised how much of a game changer these new features and Chaser would be for their business.

Meeting existing customers and other fintech companies

Accountex provided an excellent opportunity for the Chaser team to reconnect with existing customers and celebrate their success stories. Engaging with Chaser's users in person and hearing how Chaser is helping them save time and get paid faster was wonderful. Additionally, it was great to catch up with other exhibitors and learn more about what other solutions are out there for accountants and bookkeepers.

What's next?

After a brilliant event in London, the Chaser team looks forward to meeting more accountants and bookkeepers face-to-face.

The next stop is Xerocon Sydney, which takes place on the 23rd and 24th of August.
